Hello, Im Olivia Schultz (Owner)
I was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, with deep family roots in Wausau. Central Wisconsin has always been home, and building something for this community means everything to me. I graduated from SPASH and attended both UW–Milwaukee and UW–Stevens Point, originally studying psychology before switching to business to pursue opening this café.

I’ve worked in customer service since I was 15, from restaurants and retail to bartending, and I love creating spaces where people feel welcome. I didn’t grow up with cats, but my first cats completely changed that, and now I proudly embrace my role as the “crazy cat lady.” You’ll usually find me in the café most days, chatting with guests and helping care for the cats.

I’m grateful for my supportive family and for the opportunity to partner with the Humane Society of Marathon County (one of my own cats is adopted from there) as well as other local businesses. This café is about community, connection, and feeling at home.
The Story
Olivia has always been a huge animal lover. From a young age, she spent her time raising money for animal shelters and volunteering alongside her grandma, learning early on the importance of compassion and giving back. Animals were always a constant in her life, including a dog, guinea pigs, and rabbits and caring for them came naturally. For many years, Olivia dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. While she eventually realized that biology wasn’t her strongest suit, her passion for animals never faded.
That passion simply took a different path.

Everything truly changed when Olivia moved into her own apartment and adopted an older cat from the Humane Society of Marathon County. That single adoption sparked a deep love for cats and opened her eyes to their unique personalities, quiet comfort, and ability to make a space feel like home. One cat soon became two, then three, and eventually four. Adopting cats became more than just something Olivia did, it became a hobby, a passion, and an important part of her everyday life.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Olivia always felt drawn to creating something of her own. She knew she wanted to build a business that felt purposeful, something that combined her love for animals with her desire to create a positive impact. Rather than opening a business just for the sake of it, she wanted to build something meaningful, something rooted in care, community, and connection.

The idea for the café was born from that vision. At its heart, the café exists to support both people and cats. It provides a space where cats can leave the shelter environment, become socialized, and be seen for who they truly are, helping them find loving homes faster. With the growing number of cats in the city, Olivia felt strongly about creating a solution that made a real difference.

Olivia’s vision became even clearer while working at Bow Wow Meow Boutique in Stevens Point. Being part of a women-owned, animal-focused small business showed her just how impactful local businesses can be. Through that experience, she learned the importance of ethical animal care, community involvement, and creating a welcoming space where people feel connected. She is deeply grateful for the guidance, wisdom, and encouragement she received there, which ultimately gave her the confidence to begin planning this dream.

The café was designed to be calm, cozy, and inviting, a place where guests can slow down, enjoy a drink, spend time with cats, and feel good knowing their visit is making a difference. Whether someone comes to relax, study, meet friends, or possibly meet their future best friend, they are directly supporting local animal welfare.

This business is deeply personal to Olivia. It represents years of love for animals, multiple adoptions, and a lifelong dream of creating something positive for the community. Her hope is that the café becomes more than just a place to grab coffee, but a space filled with comfort, connection, and second chances for both people and cats.
